PHILANTHROPY IN ACTION

We're working to help our communities thrive, and we'd like you to join us. As an integral part of United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley, Women United will be dedicated to empower each other and those around us to positively impact the lives of women and girls in our community. By leveraging our passions, ideas, expertise, and resources to transform the very conditions in which our neighbors live, we can make lasting change.
WHY ENGAGE?
  • You'll be part of a community of like-minded women who contribute their personal passions, best ideas, and unique strengths to the mission of building stronger communities.
  • You will learn more about critical issues impacting our community.
  • You will have opportunities to engage in one to one mentoring experiences to build friendships and to make a positive impact on the lives of women and children in our community.
  • You'll be a part of a network of collective problem solvers with the benefit of the United Way's ability to impact issues with tangible and sustainable solutions.

The Red Cart Project:

The average woman requires over $6,000 worth of disposables in her lifetime.
Teenage women in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties are missing school due to lack of hygiene supplies.

HELP US give women of all ages and circumstances access to the period products they need to feel confident and clean every menstruation cycle, no matter their income. We're collecting tampons, thin panty liners and pads, underwear and menstrual cups to distribute to area middle schools, high schools and shelters.
