United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley recognizes the importance of protecting information we may collect from visitors to our site. Our policy is to use the information we acquire from visitors to our site for internal purposes only, and we maintain appropriate security measures to keep this information private. At our site, we do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly.  This means we do not require you to register or provide information to us in order to view our site. If you choose to give us personal information via the Internet for the purposes of correspondence, processing a donation or providing a subscription to a publication, then it is our intent to let you know how we will use such information. Technical information, such as the date, time and length of your visit, browser type and IP address, may be used for analysis of traffic patterns (site management).

Sharing Information

No information is shared with third parties by selling, giving, trading or any other method. Users of this site will not receive unsolicited contact from third parties. Your personal information is utilized for the purpose of processing pledges, marketing, communications and resource development. 

Your Participation is Voluntary

Your relationship with United Way is voluntary and confidential. There are times when we publicly recognize and thank donors, volunteers and other stakeholders for their generosity. This may require us to occasionally release a list of names and possible organizational affiliations. In such cases, other organizations and third parties will have access to these names and possible giving levels. We also use your information to send acknowledgement of your gift information and anything we think you may find of interest about United Way. If you do not wish to receive such communications, you may let us know at any time by contacting the United Way Office. In addition, every e-mail message you receive from United Way will include instructions on how to unsubscribe.

Protection of Information

All information collected by United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley, such as name, address and credit card (if making an online donation), is securely stored. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect.
