UW Donor Advised Funds
A Donor Advised Fund is like a charitable investment account and allows a donor to create a fund from which he/she may recommend grant distributions for charitable purposes. The donor is eligible for a tax write-off at the time the assets are donated to the fund. Once the account is established, the donor may select how the assets are invested and recommend grants to nonprofit organizations at any time.
