The United Way of the Mid-Willamette Community Building Society is a philanthropic opportunity for local businesses to engage in our community impact work.
Business Community Fundraising
Entrepreneurs and business owners are unique individuals who understand the importance of giving back to the community. In the early 1930s many Community Chests, the forerunners of the United Way system, adopted the red feather as a symbol of service to the community. Even today, there are long term volunteers who still refer to the United Way campaign as the “Red Feather” campaign. Today, we establish the Community Building Society (CBS) in Marion, Polk and Yamhill Counties to enhance our business community engagement. Membership in CBS has been expanded to include three levels of recognition:
